Exploded parts diagrams that add to your Shopify cart.
Customers take your product apart in 3D, click the part that broke, and add it to your store’s cart, with the part number on the cart line. Built from your STEP files; no app to install.
How it works on Shopify.
Your store keeps doing what it does: products, prices, checkout and orders. Assembly Atlas adds the part where customers figure out which product they need.
We build the catalog from your CAD
Export a STEP file of the product. Every part becomes its own clickable piece, numbered and exploded step by step, with your part numbers from your BOM.
You match parts to variants
One price list (a spreadsheet) maps each part number to its Shopify variant id, with the price and stock to show. Upload it again whenever they change.
Paste it into your theme
Add a Custom Liquid section to a page or product template and paste two lines of code. The catalog appears with Add to cart on every part that has a variant id.
What happens when a customer adds a part.
No app, no API key, no checkout of our own. It’s your cart and your order.
Straight into the cart
On your Shopify pages, parts go into the cart with Shopify’s own cart, without leaving the page, and the part number is written on the cart line.
Cart links from the parts portal
From your hosted parts portal or a link in an email, your store opens with every chosen part already in the cart.
Works with cart drawers
The catalog announces each add before it happens, so your developer can open your theme’s cart drawer instead.
Parts not for sale yet still get ordered
Parts without a variant id keep the parts request: the customer sends you the part numbers, quantities and their serial number instead.
See what to list next
Reports show which parts people look at, search for and add to carts, and flag the popular ones that have no price or no variant id yet.
WooCommerce and BigCommerce too
The same catalog adds to WooCommerce and BigCommerce carts, or opens a product link in any other store.
Questions Shopify merchants ask.
The full details are in the add to cart docs.
Do I need to install a Shopify app?
No. The catalog goes on a page with a Custom Liquid section and adds to the cart with Shopify’s own storefront cart. There’s no app, no API key and no access to your admin.
Which price does the customer pay?
Your Shopify price. The catalog shows the price from your price list so customers see it while they look, so keep the two the same; uploading a new price list updates every catalog at once.
Where does the stock level come from?
From the stock column of your price list, as a number or words like “Ships in 2 weeks”. Shopify still decides at checkout whether a variant can be sold.
What do I need for each part?
The part as a product in Shopify, its variant id in the price list, and the variant available on the Online Store channel, in stock or set to keep selling when out of stock.
Which plans include add to cart?
The Catalog and Integrated plans. On every plan, customers can send you a parts request with the part numbers filled in.
Send us a STEP file of one product. We’ll put it on a test page with add to cart.
We’ll set it up with your own CAD so you can judge it on your products, not ours.
